I assumed that you know about one of the most brilliant Wordpress Plugin, WP Super Cache, used to enhance the website / blog performance by increasing its loading time. If you doesn’t hear about it then on a simple note its functionality can be described as

This plugin generates static html files from your dynamic WordPress blog. After a html file is generated your webserver will serve that file instead of processing the comparatively heavier and more expensive WordPress PHP scripts.

The static html files will be served to the vast majority of your users, but because a user’s details are displayed in the comment form after they leave a comment those requests are handled by PHP. Static files are served to:

1. Users who are not logged in.
2. Users who have not left a comment on your blog.
3. Or users who have not viewed a password protected post.

Thanks to Donncha for creating this awesome plugin. Now the what’s the point of this blog post? This blog post aims toward the recent update in the WP Super Cache where it comes with new check list of Accepted Filenames & Rejected URIs. Initially we used to defined the manual file names with php extensions for the rejection of the caching but now it work even beyond that.

Now the check list comes with the options of Conditional Tags (Tags used to define the conditions of the contents in the templates). The main changes in the recent 0.9.6.1 updates are listed below:

1. Ability to move “not logged in” message init below check for POST.

2. Options to add is_admin() check so plugin definitely can’t cache the backend.

3. Options to add “do not cache” page type to admin page.

What is the benefits ?

Now the page which changes most like your home page , front page loads the recent updates and changes with any hassle of clearing the cache.
