Use WinPing to Ping and Monitor Websites
Ping has been used to verify the status of the servers and their corresponding response time. However, there are many servers within a network and this makes it difficult for network administrators to track and record all the servers and computers concurrently. In such times is when applications like WinPing become extremely relevant. WinPing, a portable application, pigs specified websites and provides graphical representations of the response time of all the servers over a period of time.
Using WinPing, you can configure ping loops to ensure that the web servers are monitored and checked consistently. This enables administrators to monitor and fix any server down issues. Additionally, it has the Auto-Save option that automatically saves multiple lines of older ping information; as you review and analyse the current ping status of the different servers.
After downloading and installing the application, you can simply add the website host name or the IP address and click Ping. The application automatically pings the site or address at regular intervals and saves the ping details. Additionally, you can configure innumerable number of ping loops from the Options window. You can also set the order you want to check the websites or address in and add concurrent pings. This application works with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
