Usage of 4G LTE – Samsung threatening against Apple
Samsung has been reported to file a case against unique iPhone 5 if it is found that the device is inbuilt with 4G LTE ability. According to a few sources, the Korean technology maker promised to take legal actions against Apple if the feature of 4G LTE is being incorporated into iPhone 5. Samsung is said to own vital patents for the future.
It seems as if Samsung is up to take revenge from Apple as it has won a case against it (Samsung) over copyright infringement in U.S. Apple has continued its fighting against Samsung for almost all its products. Now, here lies the opportunity for Samsung to fight a case against its ultimate rival.
iPhone 4G LTE:
It is rumored that new iPhone from Apple would come out with the feature of 4G LTE. In fact, it is expected that the company would include the feature in its 2011 version of iPhone – 4S. However, Apple has recently launched this handset with the feature of HSPA+, i.e. being a slight speedy version of 3G. But for now, Apple desire to inhabit the future of 4G LTE in its new iPhone. The device can compete with the latter Android handsets if possessed this feature.
Samsung V/S Apple:
It has been more than a year that legal war between Samsung and Apple has been heard of. Apple for all the products of Samsung has claimed that the company copied a few of its patents. In most cases, legal actions taken by Apple had been futile however; in the last case, Samsung had been ordered to make the payment of $1 million for the damages.
Finally, there has been no confirmation if Samsung has really filed a case against Apple for inclusion of the feature in iPhone 5. If it is true then Apple might find it hard for expanding its market into the chain of Android handsets.
