It seems that a lot of professional photographers likes to categorize someone learning about photography as amateurs. But in reality, a professional is just a person who knows something most don’t. As a person learns more and more about photography, they can stop becoming amateurs and become photographers. Some have faster learning curves than others, so this would vary. But although I am not the best in photography, my images are better than people with no photography knowledge, and so I consider myself a professional. Sorry for being a bit off topic, but all these websites that teaches others about photography is all someone needs to go from amateur to pro. Thanks for this article, it’s a great resource.
