Three Features of LG Optimus G Pro you did not know about

LG has recently rolled up ts sleeves to gain back market share in the ever competitive Indian smartphone market. Having impressed us with Optimus G and Nexus 4, the company is replacing the Optimus G with the LG Optimus G Pro to compete against  the mighty Samsung Note II that’s stood its ground at the top space in the phablet category. Lets have a look at four features that sets the Optimus G pro apart from the chunk of devices in the category and give it an edge over them.

Video Wiz

Video Wiz is an interesting application that comes bundled with the Optimus G Pro. It allows you to to edit videos and has much better options than the stock video editor. It works pretty much like the very popular Windows Movie maker. One can add a video or make  multi-picture frames. Things have been kept pretty simple and neat.

Start by adding a video or images, followed by selecting preloaded styles or filters as we know them. The filters themselves are pretty neat and define the theme set of the final video. A total of seven filters including Memories, to create old cinema with nostalgic memories and Classic, to cherish your beautiful moments and five others. The filters have their default music but you can choose not to use them and select whatever music suits you best from your music playlist too. Just tap the save button and your masterpiece is ready for show.

Quick Translator

Quick Translator is a life saver specially when you are a frequent traveler and your encounter languages or text that is bound to get you thinking what it means. It works by using the camera on the Optimus G Pro. It needs you to initially download a dictionary that you may need. The interface is quite simple and all you need to select the language you need to translate into. On the bottom of the screen just select if its is a single word that needs to be translated or a line or an entire paragraph. Tap on the screen to to translate

Safety Care

Safety Care on the LG Optimus G Pro is a collection of three services.

  1. Emergency Notice lets you send your location via message when making an emergency call. Just tap to add contact for your emergency contact and its configured.
  2. Phone non-usage notice is a neat little trick to find your misplaced smartphone. Configure it by setting the non-usage duration and an option to send off your location before powering off just in case the battery runs out.
  3. My location notice lets you send your location via message when calling registered recipients.

Surely enough the LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s answer to the Note II and LG has done a good job at keep things very competitive.
