Folks Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Arc S is now available at NEGRI Electronics and without doubt it will be soon be up for grabs at many other stores. Xperia Arc S is the updated version of the original Xperia Arc. It features that S in the name for its updated speed, it now features a 1.4 GHz processor instead of 1 GHz processor that was found in the original version of the handset.

Other than that there aren’t many key updates, though we would like to give you a brief description of the handset’s specification. Xperia Arc S comes with a stunning screen that is 4.2″ in size and has a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The screen is powered by Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine that has impressed the critics all over the world. It features 512 megabytes of memory, 1 GB of on board storage, 8 megapixel camera at the back that can record 720p videos along with 3D panorama sweep mode and all other basic connectivity options. The most spectacular thing about 3D panorama sweep mode is that it can create 3D images using Xperia Arc S’s single lens camera. Last but not the least it runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. Xperia Arc S still does not feature a dual core processor, front camera and more internal memory like its rivals.

The handset is available for 528 dollars at NEGRI Electronics and you can choose from Pure White, Glossy Black, Midnight Blue, Sakura Pink and Misty silver colours. Now stop wasting time and get yourself one from the retailer before the stock runs out!

Check with us later for more information on the topic.

XDA-Developers have worked together consistently to provide great and effective modifications to ensure that we as customers get innovative and interesting updates. Now, one of the XDA member has a new and exciting update. One of the members, Lef.teris, has managed to find a copy of the Xperia Arc’s / system partition via ADB and published the results on the forum. It is important to note here that this has still not been officially released; additionally, this is the smartphone’s first Android operating system dump.

The member’s release of the ‘System of Arc (ADB pulled)’ released by the XDA member is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is believed that this arc will help developers that are working on customizing ROMs for Xperia X8 and X10, both working on Android 2.1 with no plan of them being upgraded to Gingerbread or Froyo.

The dump includes the Xperia Arc’s Home launcher and a host of other widgets. Additionally, it could also help in procuring interesting ringtones and wall papers. Though this is not a fully functional dump and is a little slow, it certainly provides developers to get their hands dirty by experimenting with the Xperia Arc.

Step One: Order your Smirnoff martinis shaken, not stirred.

Step Two: Drive a heart-racing Aston Martin. (Note: A BMW is so Pierce Brosnan.)

Step Three: Carry a Sony Ericsson cameraphone.

Step Four: Rob a bank to pay for living so large.

Okay, that was a joke. But No. 3 wasn’t – at least that’s what Sony Ericsson, the joint venture between consumer electronics giant Sony of Japan and Sweeden’s Ericsson is hoping Bond wannabes will think.
