Sony To Launch Google Android Honeycomb Tablet
Tablet device has gained more and more popularity of late and many giant are planning to grab the table market. Well, now we might soon see Sony also launching Honeycomb table by this summer. Earlier there was a rumor about Sony introducing 9.4 inch-table codenamed the S1 in February. It suppose to be PlayStation-certified, operating the PlayStation Suite.
Now according to Bloomberg, which cited a report in Japan’s Nikkei newspaper, Sony CEO Howard Stringer said that his company will be launching a tablet by the end of the summer.
The report also suggested that the tablet will run Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb software, and would only be sold in US initially. The report also confirms that the tablet will have a 9.4inch screen a dual core Tegra 2 processor and Qriocity – Sony’s music, movies and TV streaming service. However, there is no word on when the device will be available on other countries as well.
