A New Phone from Ex-Nokia Team is About to Hit Market
Some former Nokia Corp. Employees have collected $258 millions from individual industry players (telecommunications) to develop an all new operating platform (for mobile) on basis of Nokia technology (MeeGo) that has been discarded. It is being said that in the coming month, this new group is going to introduce this latest mobile phone.
Finnish start-up Jolla Ltd first announced that it wants to use the MeeGo operating technology introduced by Nokia. The company wanted to make use of the technology because it will prove helpful for new mobile devices. However, last year Nokia abandoned this technology for Windows system from Microsoft only giving Jolla (and a few other companies) the permission of using the technology.
Jolla now can get access to this technology with the help of the nickname Sailfish. Any more detail about the latest technology has not been disclosed until Jolla was using the technology.
Chief executive of Jolla Ltd explained that day that due to the development in Smartphone industry, especially for Apple’s approach to put a bar on the rapid growth of Google Android, small industries that are also planning to manufacture Smartphones, are gaining more alternatives.
Mr. Hurmola, who is the chief executive of this company, also reported that his company has also invested 10 million to avail the latest plan from Nokia with the purpose to use it in their own mobile phones.
Well, he has still lot more works to do and to find out potential advertising models that will earn the company a noticeable revenue amount. He reported that the company would start researching and operations from Hong-Kong.
