Nokia’s Marketing Plans For Lumia WP8 Disappoints
Nokia is facing the heat of its poor marketing strategy and mismanagement of announcing their latest Windows phone in collaboration with Microsoft. Nokia announced that its latest phone Lumia WP8, which is supposed to be operated by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, would be arriving in the market soon. However, according to inside sources, Microsoft is to launch its windows phone officially on October 29.
The mismanagement of Nokia, in comparison to the organized promotion of Apple’s iPhone 5, has turned out to be a real problem for both Nokia and Microsoft. This has also resulted in the delay of the release of Nokia’s Lumia 820 and 920. Sources are saying that these two phones of Nokia will not be able to arrive at the market until November 2012.
Apple’s launching procedure of iPhone 5 turned out to be smooth enough and much organized, in comparison to Nokia’s announcement of its new products. The strategy in which Apple carries out its marketing and promotion, has a very positive impact upon the market and the global customers. Many experts have argued that the new Lumia of Nokia (to run on the operating system of Microsoft’s Windows OS) will be carrying much more features than the iPhone, and will also be technologically far better than the iPhone 5. However, the poor handling of Nokia’s marketing and promotional strategy might lead to the downfall in the sales figures of the upcoming product.
According to sources, the 45-day delay of the official announcement of the new phones between Apple and Nokia is the real cause of concern for Nokia, which might thwart its attempt to bounce back into the arena of surging sales figures of Smartphones. Experts are not sure whether Nokia will be able to officially release its visionary phone that will run on Windows Phone 9 next year, in order to counter the challenge of Apple’s upcoming operating system of iOS 7, very soon.
