Itel, the innovative hi-tech brand from Transsion Holdings Conglomerate, has marked yet another milestone in their journey by announcing successful sales of more than 1 million handsets within India. The stunning fact about this grand accomplishment is that itel was able to achieve this within just a couple of months of their operational launch that too in just 11 states. itel Mobile blitzed into the Indian market with a variety of reliable and trendy communication devices. The 15 products launched so far include eight feature phones priced at less than INR 2000 and seven value-added smartphones available for less than INR 10000, are aimed at empowering the country’s aspiring consumer base with value-driven mobile connectivity solutions.

Currently operating in 11 states in North India, the brand has gained a significant foothold within such a short span of time. itel will now look to launch a slew of products setting its sights on achieving the milestone of selling 2 Million handsets per month by Diwali this year. Further building on the impressive show in phase 1, itel will venture into other key Indian states in the South and North East by August. Currently working with 325 distributors and around 25000 retailers in the country, the brand is aiming to increase the number of distributors to 1,000 and retailers to 80,000 by the end of 2016 to provide a larger consumer base ready access to its value-driven offerings. To enhance the ownership experience, itel Mobile will also open 1,000 service centers across the country by the end of this year. Consumers currently enjoy a 100-day replacement warranty offering on all itel products, a unique facility in the mobile handset space in India.
