HTC Sensation XE – Awesome Audio and Monstrous Processor, What Else Do You Want?
We’ve finally got our hands on HTC Sensation XE, the updated version of the original HTC Sensation. HTC has polished it to become top of the line handset. HTC Sensation features a 4.3 inch qHD SLCD screen with Gorilla Glass, an updated 1.5 GHz Dual Core Scorpion processor along with Adren 220 GPU, 768 megabytes of RAM and 1 GB of internal storage(expandable through memory card), 8 megapixel back camera and all the basic connectivity options.
The mobile is almost identical to its sibling (Original Sensation) except the fact that its color scheme is now more on the reddish side. It has red black lit on the front. The red coloured buttons might seem cool to some but we don’t like it as they give off a pinkish shade. Other than that there’s a Beats logo on the back and the white/silver highlights have been replaced by red.
The main changes come inside, the 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor has been replaced by a monstrous 1.5 GHz processor. The processor doesn’t give much in normal use but it will surely give something when it comes to hardcore use like benchmarks. We can not provide details over here as we had little time and weren’t able to test the fullest so look for our review later. Still we didn’t want our readers to be disappointed so we ran some quick web browsing and light tasks benchmarks. Sensation XE did great and left its predecessor behind by miles. We ran programs like BrowserMark and SunSpider, in SunSpider XE completed the task 50 percent faster than the original Sensation. Last but not the least we have a bigger and better 1730 mAH in the all new Sensation XE.
The next thing to talk about is the highly improved audio thanks to the deal that HTC had with Beats earlier. Beats is certainly known for its quality in the world of music and they didn’t let their fans down with HTC Sensation XE either. Beats gave Sensation XE greatly improved hands free, audio profiles and DSP. No presence of audio hardware inside the mobile disappoints us though. Sensation XE features exclusive profiles that get turned on as soon as you plug in your Beats headphones(only the one that come with the handset). The profiles are easily editable and can be tuned to your taste.
Let the pictures do rest of talking.
Next up are the mouth watering, stylish and sexy headphones which come out of the box with HTC Sensation XE. The headphones are called YoursBeats. Yoursbeats has an in-ear design and stylish look will surely attract young customers. Yoursbeats also features media control buttons which include play/pause that can also be used to answer calls and next and previous buttons. Beats did not disappoint its customers and gives music aficionados what they love about Beats Clearity and Bass. We spent quite sometime checking out the new headphones and comparing them with Sensation’s headphones. The difference was clear, Beats won it by far, the clarity of what we heard was just astonishing. We did check out the headphones with some bass filled songs and the outcome once again was great. Anyone who wanted better loudspeaker has to face disappoint because their is no Beats in the internal hardware.
Our First Impression of the mobile is great and we absolutely love what the handset has to offer. HTC has provided its users with clear reasons to upgrade from Sensation to Sensation XE. This upgrade costed HTC $300 million but it is well worth it, the sound experience has greatly increased and the tasking is a lot faster. The Beats mark on the mobile adds more to its beauty and thanks to Beats HTC now has a mobile that has one of the best audio experiences out in the market. To keep it short Sensation XE has better battery, audio, performance and is a whole lot more sexier.
