The LG Optimus G Pro runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and on top of it LG has it concealed the stock Vanilla skin with its very own Optimus UI, thereby changing the look and feel of the device according to their own taste. However, unlike several other manufacturers who do not allow a lot of customization with the default home screen launchers, LG’s Optimus UI has four different themes namely Optimus, Biz, Cozywall and Marshmallow each one with a different icons, wallpapers and screen scroll transitions. This is a welcome move as most of the users usually have to resolve to third party launchers to be able to customize their home screens.
To customize the Home Screen on your LG Optimus G Pro, just go into the app drawer and tap settings. Go to Home screen and there you will find a lot of options to manually change the home screen behavior and look. To change the entire look and feel all at once just tap on themes or you can manually select and change features separately. Apart from changing icons and wallpapers, switching between themes changes the clock cum weather widget as well as app drawer background too. You can have up to seven screens at a time and you can swipe between these screens with seven different Screen swipe effects. Then there are options to scroll screens circularly and have the home screen displayed in portrait mode only. The screen scrolling is very fluid and smooth.
