Hotmail App For Android
Sometime ago, surprisingly Microsoft launched an official app for Hotmail for Android. We already have a default “Email” app for Android for all your accounts, but incase you like your emails separate, this is just the app for you and it comes with some extra features you won’t find in other email applications.
The app is available for free on the Android market and it has some pretty standard features. You can set up multiple Hotmail accounts, get push notifications for your email, compose messages and add attachments. The app is good in the sense, it has a very simplistic and minimalistic view and works as it should there is one thing that will set it apart from your traditional email app.
The app has the ability to synchronize specific folders and subfolders within your inbox. If you’re the sort of person who prioritizes emails and sorts them into folders this should be very useful, since with other apps you only get a notification if you get an email in the default “Inbox” folder.
The settings menu has a lot of features to tweak aswell. You can choose which folders to sync, signature for sending emails, frequency for syncing emails and also set a “Quiet time” when data is not synced such as when you sleep or just do not want to be disturbed.
Other than that, you can also sync your Hotmail Calendar with your Android’s built in calendar aswell as Sync your contacts. Overall the app works great and is a must have for all of you Hotmail users out there. As mentioned earlier, you can download the app from the app market or head over to this link.
