Google launches the Maps Engine Pro
Google Maps in one product which came into alot of debate. Some said that it may invade privacy. On the other hand some said that its very useful and should be promoted. Inspite of all the situations, Google maps came through and here’s something for the latter to be happier about.
Google has released a new offering for its Maps product in the business setting as part of its vision into making it the next productivity tool. Companies can now use Maps Engine Pro to better marry location and their data in order to “visualize and share” it on a map. Yes, the Maps Engine Pro. The new thing which helps you import and visualize location data. There is a minimal service cost involved in it and users can import a variety of data from spreadsheets such as names, leads, addresses and what not.
Now Google uses alot of useful data themselves to put together this useful mapping product. Local imagery, street cams and views, base maps, etc incorporate the data being used to present a detailed picture of the world. For the users, that is us, its all about finding specific venues or locations. But what about professionals? Google wants to enable mapping business data and it’s going to do so with Maps Engine Pro, a new document type. It enable users to store, manage and share their Geo-spatial data using Google’s cloud computing infrastructure.Word is that many business related problems could be solved such as HR, logistics, sales managers, marketers, retail analysts, so on and so forth. With Maps Engine Pro, businesses can import that data into Google Maps that lets you do anything with it that you would with any document.
