Google not Impressed with the Apple Maps
For the first time Apple is said to have made a big mistake by not including the app of Google Map in the iPhone 5. The new iPhone does not contain the Map application of Google; instead, it has been replaced with an indigenous map application as its latest software update mission, which is being considered as a flawed one and is not getting good response from the market and from the critics either.
At a meeting to launch a new product of Nexus 7 Tablet in Tokyo, Mr. Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, mentioned that Apple is not going to introduce Google’s map in its iPhone for now, but both the companies are in talking terms to each other in order to chalk out a plan for the future ventures. However, he had also said that the ultimate decision lies with the top brass of Apple. The company would need to approve the maps of Google so that it can be used in the updated versions of iPhone.
The new map application, introduced in the iPhone is not as accurate as the application of the Google map. According to Wall Street Journal report, Mr. Schmidt had admitted that retaining the map application of Google would have worked out better for iPhone, and would have satisfied the users of the gadget, throughout the world.
Apple’s iPhone comes with a YouTube application built by Google, which is one of the popular apps to be used as a free app in the Apple app store.
