Google Googles Launches 1.3 Clients for Android

Google, in its official blog, announced the launch of its new versions of Google Googles 1.3 client for Android. This client promises to be able to instantly scan barcodes, obtain ad information and helps solve Suduko puzzles with ease.

In the blog it announced

Today we’re launching a new version of Google Goggles that’s faster and smarter than ever before

It further went on to describe the different features that will be available in the new version with information on how it can be used effectively. The features introduced in this version of the client include:

1.    Barcodes: This feature helps users scan barcodes of different products and get more information on them instantly. The blog said that with this latest version ‘scanning barcodes is much faster’.

2.    Printing of ads in magazines and newspapers: The blog read that this feature was a step towards their ‘vision of connecting offline media to online media’. This feature enables users to obtain product details by taking mere pictures of ads in magazines and newspapers.

3.    Suduko: This feature helps users take picture of the Suduko puzzle when they are stuck, to obtain answers from Google. The blog  also provided a simple video to show users how to use the feature.
