Get Temperature Update on iPhone with Fahrenheit and Celsius
Fahrenheit and Celsius are two new applications that provide temperature updates on your iPhone’s Home screen. Both these apps are compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and both dynamically update local temperature. Note that both these applications, as a prerequisite, require iOS 4.2 or later. They are both universal applications.
Apple’s badge system does not support negative numbers. Therefore, one of the limitations of app is that it cannot show you the temperature as is when it is below zero degrees. As a workaround one of the following could happen:
1. The app can display the negative number as a positive number
2. The app can display no temperature when the temperature goes below zero
3. The app can send you a notification when the temperature swings below zero
Celsius was released on April 12, 2011 and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish and the size of the app is 10.9MB. Though Fahrenheit is available in all the languages it was released on April 8, 2011 and the size of the app is 10.1. Both these applications are available for download at the iTunes Store, at a price of $0.99 only. You can choose to download one or both of the applications. If you choose to download both, they will both appear next to each other on your Home screen.
