Google Chrome provides you with the option to the hardware accelerate feature. Though it is disabled by default, the steps to enable it are very simple. To enable the feature, complete the following steps:

1.    Download and open the latest Google Chrome browser.

Note: To check the latest version click the wrench icon, and click About Google Chrome.

2.    In the address bar, type about:flags, and press Enter.

This displays a webpage that lists the different features of Google Chrome.

Note: Ensure that there are no spaces while you type about:flags.

3.    In the webpage, scroll down to GPU Accelerated Compositing, and then click Enable.

This enables the feature and helps Google Chrome to better render web pages quickly.

Note: Internet Explorer 9 user can enable or disable hardware acceleration using IE 9 web browser.

Many applications have been created in the past to monitor the active state of websites. However, most of these applications have had their share of issues. Google Chrome extension’s Server Monitor could however fit as a useful alternative.

Google has officially rolled out the stable version of Chrome (Google Chrome 9.0.597.84), which promises to fix hundreds of bug comes along with new interesting features. This version brings three new major features – WebGL, Chrome Instant, and the Chrome Web Store, which Chrome beta users have been enjoying for some time now.

WebGl is a new web based technology that brings hardware-accelerated 3D graphics to the browser and this one now has a stable version of chrome.

Chrome Instant will load frequently visited web pages for you as soon as you begin to enter the URL into the address bar, however you will need to enable this one in the Basics tab of Chrome’s options.

Web Store was most awaited feature and is now open to all Chrome users in US and Google has also added a link to the store on the new tab page that comprises of two sample applications.

The only reason Firefox ruled over Chrome was its add-ons, which were most helpful for users. Next, right click on the chrome icon, click on properties and type the following” To Enable Plugins: –enable-plugins, To Enable Extensions: –enable-extensions, To Enable Greasemonkey Scripts: –enable-greasemonkey and click “Apply”                                                                                          
3. You have all three at a time for better compatibility like this – enable-plugins –enable-extension –enable-greasemonkey.
4. You are all set to install Plugins, Greasemonkey and Extensions in the Chrome Browser. Just start the browser and get sample extension page.

To uninstall an extension, navigate to chrome://extensions, find the extension you want to uninstall, and press the Uninstall button.

On Google Chrome extension for checking IP their is a nice tutorial of “How to install extensions for Google Chrome”.

The basic requirement to run the extensions is the Google Chrome developer version installed in your system. After installing developers and beta versions you need to go to the Google Chrome icon on the desktop. On the Chrome icon Right click and go to the properties then Go to Shortcuts and add the –enable-extensions in the end. (for example C:\Users\honey\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –enable-extensions ). After all this Restart / Launch the Google Chrome.
